I agree with all of these strengths. I particularly agree with the insight that it gave about Empathy, where it said that I love when people open up to me, but I will not initiate the conversation; I feel like I’ll come off as prying or nosy. Most of the descriptions were spot on, except in the Learner section where it said I take tough classes taught by tough professors. I try to take classes with easy professors because I am more afraid of failing than I am interested in the challenge. I also strongly agreed with the insight in Achiever where it said that I search for the good in every individual or situation, which allows me to embrace life’s surprises. I am a very positive person, and I enjoy change.
I use Responsibility as a leader in any group project setting. I am usually the unofficial leader of the group, and I am very careful to make sure all pieces of the project get done by the deadline. I do not allow us to submit low quality work. This strength does lead to the problem where I take over and do other people’s parts as well as my own because I’m a perfectionist, and I want to make sure everything gets done to my standards. That is something I need to work on.
I use Achiever in my TA position for Models II. In my personalized insight, it says I catch myself working hard to ease the anxieties of others, and I show them a way to reach their goals. As a TA, my job is to help the students reach their goals. Sometimes they get stressed out because they don’t understand what they are supposed to be doing or how to do it, and I ease their concerns by explaining the ideas to them and guiding them towards (not giving them) the correct answer.
